It tells the story of Alberto Ribeiro Santana, Pai de Santo (a Candomblé priest) from Bahia, and his Afro-Brazilian family of blood and “axé” (Filhos e Filhas de Santo, the worshippers of Candomblé), through parties, rituals, cooking, music, dance, daily life and relationship with the community.
