Our take

Some years before his internationally acclaimed Selfie, Agostino Ferrente teamed up with filmmaker Giovanni Piperno to craft this lyrical, Naples-set look at the delicate passage from teenagehood to adult age. The Beautiful Things is a small yet luminous revelation of a film.
