García is a simple man with an uneventful life, until he finds himself on the verge of obtaining the one thing he most desires. Complications ensue in this whimsical journey—part comedy, part gangster film—which takes many routes to follow its endearing characters and unfold its absurdist plot.

This experiment in the narrative and aesthetic representation of violence evokes the conflict that has shook Colombia through the unrelated stories of three men, all victims of cruelty and power. Although the camera stays close to its characters, it provides a wide angle on the country.
