“It was different then because it was a smaller group and he [Paul Taylor] didn’t have that many dates; it was more like, oh gee, I’m getting to dance and I’m going to get paid a little for it. We carried our own makeup, we washed our own costumes. But I was delighted. I was going to get to dance.”
