“I wasn't like her [Lisa, 'Dirty Dancing'] at all. I didn't know how to put on mascara until my 20s. My mom was an artist, and she didn't promote all the values that Lisa Houseman has. So to be able to play her was just a real treat for me, to be able to really hop into somebody else and have a teenage-dom that I didn't have when I was a teenager.”
