“If one tries to interpret the art as tastefully and energetically in one’s own presentation of a role as possible, this will entertain for most composers. Some of the modern works I’m a bit doubtful about, but with most of the composers of repertory works, the pieces are fine works of art themselves, and if I interpret them to the best of my ability, this in itself will be entertainment to the audience.”
