In Indochina rubber plantation overseer Dennis Carson has to contend with Vantine, a prostitute evading the police in Saigon. Initially uninterested, Carson soon succumbs to Vantine’s charms until the arrival of surveyor Gary Willis, ill with malaria, and his refined but sensuous wife Barbara.
