“For me, having a camera around was the most natural way for us to be together. Being there just as a visitor would have created more tension because there would have been all these questions like, 'What is he now? A guest? A friend?' But when I came with the camera it was like, 'Okay, that’s Philip with the camera. He’s just filming.'”
