This is an intimate, wrenching dispatch from directly inside the largely African-American Ninth Ward and the eye of the hurricane, while also incorporating images of her life directly before and amidst the chaotic aftermath. Unforgettable images abound, the likes of which a fictional disaster film could never equal for impact: distressed calls to helpless 9-11 dispatchers, a family hiding in the attic as the water rises, the desperate search for floating items from which to construct makeshift rafts.
