“I wanted people to enjoy ['The Rose of Versailles'] like they were in a gallery, so I included some frame-like decorations. I think that fans of the original work, like myself, have some pictures that they're attached to, so I tried and tested as many of them as I could in the opening scene. It took a while, but I think I was able to depict some beautiful and cool characters and a passionate story.”
