“When you are trying to make your first feature film and concentrating completely on that task, I think you could easily sink into depression, because it's a very long, drawn-out process, especially if you are learning the whole thing at the same time. I was able to avoid that fate because over the last few years I have made documentary films and experimental films. And I enjoyed making those films - I will continue to do so - because in my view the choice of genre is not the main consideration.”
