Jane Schoenbrun returns with a new kind of remake, carving up slasher conventions with surreal, campy abandon. Newly-minted scream queens Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson are a revelatory pairing, bringing wit, deep feeling, and sultry eroticism to this visionary dissection of movie nostalgia.

Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead, this incendiary drama is the fiction debut from director RaMell Ross. Adopting a radical, first-person visual vocabulary, Nickel Boys chronicles the horrors of a Jim Crow-era Florida reform school with piercing empathy and insight.
