“[El placer es mío] is a portrait of this selfishness that represents our generation in personal relationships, in the sense that relationships nowadays can end with 'Oh, I’m fed up with it— next!' I wanted to portray this very selfish kind of agreement. It's an honest portrait, so it kind of hurts. When you see the film and at some point relate to the characters, it's in a sense of being ashamed.”
