“Why, after a youthful and autobiographical film like 25 Watts, did we produce a film about two 60-year-old Jewish brothers, a woman and a stocking factory? Well, as we wrote the script, we started to realise that perhaps these characters were not so different from ourselves; that we were not so far away from this kind of loneliness.”
