“I had always wanted to be a performer but I was also very hard on myself growing up. I remember thinking to myself when I was 17 years old: ‘if you haven’t made it by now, you never will.’ I stopped acting for 6 years...I only finally rediscovered acting as an adult once I wasn’t putting as much pressure on myself.”
