“['Immaculate'] is not a feel-good movie. But I wanted the viewer to stay in that state. I knew it was a risk, but I thought it was important. We often tend to run away from discomfort. But there’s no point in running away because you can’t escape yourself and your feelings. So in the film, we built a situation with no way out – both for the character and for the spectator.”
