“I wanted to convey this incubational aspect of the cave in my film [Lapilli]. It’s a place where space and time have a completely different meaning. We are not able to observe a change in the shape of a stalactite, but it is happening nonetheless. In the total darkness of this environment, where there is no way to escape to another reality, any question can be asked.”
