Our take
A perfect pairing of two of contemporary American indie cinema’s brightest lights and frequent collaborators—acclaimed director Jeff Nichols and talented actor Michael Shannon—Take Shelter is a psychological portrait and anxious apocalyptic drama that has only gotten better with time.
