My best Iranian films

Ranked as I liked them. Two films of Kiarostami that I rate high “Tickets” and “Certified Copy” are not included because the Iranian elements are almost unrecognizable. Farhadi’s “The Past” has strong Iranian flavours and therefore is included here. Detailed reviews of most of these films appear on my blog “Movies that make you think” http://moviessansfrontiers.blogspot.com/ . Director Amir Naderi now lives and makes films in USA. I have had brief interactions with Mehrjui, Panahi, Samira Makhmalbaf and Amiryoussefi. Amiryoussefi impressed me most as an individual and as a filmmaker.
