Layla, a little girl from Chaouen, is a dreamy child with a fertile imagination. It is inhabited by the character of Sayda, a 16th century queen who dominated northern Morocco up to Gibraltar. She falls ill and her worried mother decides to take her to Tetouan for treatment.
