Our take
The whole of downtown Manhattan dances to the tune of Madonna’s frisky grifter in this cat-and-mouse screwball comedy that launched her film career. The hopeless romance of the classifieds and a priceless relic ensorcel a bohemian Big Apple that is as motley as the singer’s eclectic punk ensembles.
