Our take

A classic of feminist cinema, and a landmark of the Czech New Wave, Daisies is a film fit for eternal rediscovery! Věra Chytilová’s riotous (and censored!) mockery of the beauty myth and the conventions of patriarchal society is, as she puts it, a “philosophical documentary in the form of a farce.”
