Our take

Restored from its battered 35mm elements, Mehmet Muhtar’s 1953 cult marvel transforms Bram Stoker’s vampire myth into a feverish vision of gothic dread. With an eerie atmosphere, inventive effects, and taut suspense, Dracula in Istanbul resurrects a forgotten landmark of Turkish horror.
