Ichiko, a slovenly and unmotivated 32-year-old woman who lives with her parents is asked to move out by her mother. She gets a job at the nearby konbini and meets Yuji, an introvert boxer who trains at a neighborhood gym. But cruel reality soon pushes Ichiko to don the gloves herself.
