Synopsis
In 1900s rural Indiana, country girl Elnora yearns to attend high school, against the wishes of her widowed mother. But Elnora finds a kindred spirit and mentor in naturalist Gene Stratton-Porter, who shares the girl’s thirst for knowledge.
