The movie is a portrait of the life of Ananthan, born to an aristocratic Namboothiri father and a low caste mother, who quickly learns and masters all 3 Vedas and allied arts of it. Ananthan go through a lot of trouble, as the Brahmin community finds out that he is in love with an aristocratic girl.
