Joe Ferlini is a Houdini-like escape artist who performs in nightclubs. He claims to be the fastest at getting out of a straight jacket but wants to make a bigger splash. He proposes to have himself handcuffed, tied with a rope, locked into a trunk & dumped into a nearby river. His promoter agrees.
