Martin never met his father and half-brothers until he was 10 years old, at which age he moved in with them. Some years later, Martin turns up at his brother’s Paris flat, which he shares with Alice (Juliette Binoche). Alice and Martin soon become a couple, but Martin is haunted by his dark past.
