A fictional account of Sarah Bernhardt’s 1905 tour in Rio de Janeiro. Bernhardt’s beloved and recently deceased Brazilian maid, Amélia, has employed her estranged sisters as dressmakers. Awaiting the return of the deceased Amélia’s belongings, the sisters must put up with Bernhardt’s manic antics.
