Sosuke Saga, a policeman, is shot and wounded and his gun stolen. While he is in hospital his wife tells him she wants a divorce. His gun is identified as the weapon in a murder and he looks for the murderer, at the same time rediscovering his will to live, and finding a way to get his wife back.
