Our take
This warm look at the struggle of women, artists, and political dissidents in Iran is also a moving personal journey for its director. Sreemoyee Singh’s encounters with figures such as filmmaker Jafar Panahi and human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh form a poetic tribute to their spirit and culture.
