Tim McGuire, renowned as “The Brute” in the San Francisco underworld, has an adopted family including his boyhood friend Abie and a former professor and his daughter. When he rescues a visitor, Lorraine Metcalf, from a gang of hoodlums, her father awards him a position as construction supervisor.
