BIM, BAM, BOOM, LAS LUCHAS MORENAS

Meet Las Luchas Morenas: three sisters and professional luchadoras who practice Mexico’s national sport of wrestling. When the sisters are off stage, a camera swirls curiously around them, capturing the lively trio’s close bond and how they bring the ethos of Lucha Libre into their personal lives.

Following a family of wrestlers in Mexico, Marie Losier’s rousing portrait of sisterhood somersaults between private hijinks and the spectacle of the ring. Commanding the screen with their vivacious energy, these formidable women dare to take up space in a male-dominated sport, one kick at a time.
