Jip-gil and Young-pal are college alumni from the same class and also brothers-in-law. While Young-pal is a communist, Jip-gil is a second lieutenant in the military, and they both try to persuade each other. When the Yeo-Su Rebellion takes place they brutally confront each other as enemies.
