Our take
Playing at the great American pastimes of baseball and sex, magnetic duo Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon delight sports fans and nonfans alike in this endlessly charismatic drama. Director and former infielder Ron Shelton earned an Oscar® nomination for his indelibly quotable, home run of a script.
