Carl Lange lives a comfortable life in solitude, until the policeman Osmundsen stands on his door, accusing him for raping a fourteen-year-old girl. In a Kafkaesque universe based on Kjell Askildsen’s short story, the film explores the relationship between citizen and authorities.
