Our take
By far Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s most personal work, this relentlessly visceral marital drama explores the gradual disintegration of a relationship. At turns beautiful and bruising yet steeped in exposed emotions, Nuri stars in it alongside his wife (and co-writer) Ebru. Winner of the FIPRESCI prize.
