Our take
Airs and graces are a thin veil over sexual deviance in this erotic drama, as young Juliette Binoche and a wolfish Jeremy Irons set the screen on fire. One of the final films from the great Louis Malle, this delectable tale of forbidden desire cuts to the incestuous heart of Britain’s upper classes.
