Fifteen years after the murderous Khmer rouge, the Cambodian film-maker Rithy Panh returns to his land to make the film Rice People. Danyda, Mary, Sopheary, Kourou and Sodany, the five young actresses of the film, portray the happiness of being loved and the fear of being abandoned.
