In the day of Mykola Dekabryukhov’s wedding the October Revolution happens. Dekabryukhov leaves his young wife and runs away abroad. Meanwhile, his brother Ivan stays in in Soviet Union, changes his surname on Oktyabryuhov and marries ex-wife of Mykola.
