1777: Young Emperor Joseph II wants to annex Ansbach-Bayreuth because he believes the Prussian king is too old and sick to undertake another campaign. Angered by this, Friedrich enters the field. War is fought and ended with treaties. He died on August 16, 1786, gravely ill and embittered.
