Our take

The tenets of the “cinéma du look” tradition are well represented in this debut feature from Jean-Jacques Beineix (Betty Blue), a lively film following its young protagonist through a super-stylized pop-art Paris. A visual thrill reminiscent of Beineix’s contemporaries Luc Besson and Leos Carax.
