Our take
Capturing the giddy spontaneity and creeping melancholy of the last days of summer, Jacques Rozier’s charming French New Wave gem surfaces the emotional undercurrents behind even the most carefree of holidays. Hazy 16mm imagery seizes memories in the making—although they are already fading away.
