Our take

French filmmaker and controversy-magnet Catherine Breillat bravely continues forging a genre of her own, 2001’s Fat Girl developing the transgressive themes of her earlier work and delivering another blunt portrait of a young woman’s sexual awakening. It was banned in Canada!
