A married couple is juxtaposed in the Garden of Eden and in modern 1920s New York City. In the modern day story, Adam, a plumber, is happily married to Eve, a wardrobe-obsessed housewife, until she accidentally meets a supercilious fashion designer and secretly becomes a fashion model by day.
