Sama, a young aspiring boxer, yearns for change and a way out of the rural neighborhood where she lives with her father Hamdi, under the reigns of the self-proclaimed Mayor, Salim. When Sama is caught stealing a valuable pair of shoes, she and Hamdi are immediately kicked out of the neighborhood.
