In a sham ceremony at the city hall, the dimwitted Fridolf is married to Margit. It doesn’t take long, however, before he is arrested for bigamy. His first wife left him few years ago, but Fridolf isn’t very bright and he thought that she was dead when she told him about her own death in a letter.
