Our take

Long, unbroken takes stay with eddying emotion in this striking, coolly disquieting drama from Corsage director Marie Kreutzer. Anchored in the generational talents of Léa Seydoux and Catherine Deneuve, Gentle Monster braces itself against the secondary waves of devastating violations.
