In the Mahābhārata, a revered ancient Hindu text, the King Yudhishthira is asked: ‘Of all the world’s wonders, which is the most wondrous?’ Yudhishthira answers: ‘That no person, though he or she sees others dying all around them, believes that he or she will die.’
