Naoki, a former businessman, lost it all in Japan’s 1990s economic crisis. Now, living in a tiny apartment with his girlfriend Yoshie, he struggles to survive with a part-time job. Can their love for one another help them through, or will their lives as part of Japan’s “working poor” destroy them?
